some "newbie-to-the-balisong-world" questions

I really like the looks of the BM 43, but I have some questions. What type of coating is on the black handled version of the 43? Which do you think is the best handle, satin finish, anodized, or the black finish? I probably wouldn't be carrying the knife as an EDC, I would just have it sitting around my house, for whenever I wanted to flip it

I'm not sure what the coating is, but I have a feeling that it is titanium-nitrite. Choosing handles are just a matter of taste, but the black handle has a little more advantage though. It provides better grip (what I'm looking for from a flipper) than plain handles or anodized.

I ordered the 42 and 43 with black handles, and they are supposed to arrive this afternoon. I'll let you know how they handle.

I just received 2 new balisongs, 43 and plain 42. Both with black handle. =)
As I suspected, both of them have better grips than the plain / anodized handle. Regular handle (plain - anodized) sometimes gets slippery, but with this black coating, it's like holding a smooth sandpaper =)
