I met with a guy today that is a lifelong master carpenter and teacher, and his basement workshop was like a museum. He had most hand tools that you could think of from all trades, and he cared well for them. Unfortunately for me, he also valued them more highly than most of the people that I deal with. The prices were still fair to be honest, but MUCH higher than I'm used to having to pay. I bought them anyway. The Buck Bros hatchet is new to me, it looks like a mini Estwing. Anyone know anything about these or seen one before? The BSA axe was basically in brand new condition. It's got an "M" stamped on the other side, but made in USA I wonder who made it. Vaughan? It doesn't look like it could be too old, but that could be 20+ years with this guy today. The True Temper/Kelly Tool Charleston Connecticut is nice, and these all look like original handles. My favorite and one I am considering keeping is the Flint Edge Michigan. I LOVE it. The axes are all boy's handles, but while the BSA is 2 1/4lbs, the other two are somewhere north of 3lbs. All of these are exactly as I purchased them, I haven't done a thing, or really need to except possibly refinish the very solid Flint Edge handle.
