I saw a deal on another site I visit about some British mil-surp G-Tex jackets and pants for a great price -

gore-tex jackets for $60 and pants for $25.

I don't want to break Forum posting rules. I just read through them, particularly on the "Deal Spotting" FAQ, but it seemed to directed at knife deals not other stuff. So Mods, i'm sorry if i'm outta bounds with this post.

They look like great and at a great price. You can't even buy Frog Toggs for that price....

I wanted to let the good folks here know about the deal as well. It's always nice to save a buck (or a 100). I ordered a pair of the pants and for $35 with shipping it's a pretty low risk. I'll report back once I have 'em "in-hand", but at that price they will probably go pretty fast.

I got my new G-Tex pants in and WOW!!!! for $25 they are way better than anything else I've seen.

The g-tex looks like it's 3-layer stuff and everything is sewn nicely. At the ankles there is a big, long (8" maybe...) gusseted zipper so I won't have to remove my boots to put the pants on. The pants are light weight, have a velcro "fly" and side-pocket openings. All seams are taped up very nicely and the knees seem to have an extra layer of fabric. There is a seam that's just above the knee that I'll probably "SeamGrip" as a precautionary measure, but that's more about my own psychosis than any actual need.

I'll be stitching on some hefty fabric for suspender attachment points, but they're ready to go otherwise. I ordered XL size so I can wear insulated/fleece bottoms underneath and they're sized about right.

All in all, $35 well spent (including shipping).
