Nice collection Ark! Is that a fifth version 110 in with the 119 and other fixed blades?

I believe the 110 is either a fourth or fifth version but not sure which. I got the oak displays from Smokey Mountain Knife Works and have made a few also.:)

it is made from the frame of a "wanted poster" display case from the post office and has on the inside still the date (1950's) and post office properity number...
it is oak but is not all of the cabenet as it was larger but damaged and i salvaged enught to make this and copple more ... i realy need to make a locked one as i have grand kids that visit ...

of note look at the bottom right side 560 and the drop point 110 jest above the DM & Ivory above it...

Very nice,;) :) do you use magnets to hold the knives in place
no, i made the back side with cut slots and fited felt in to all tight...
knives rest on a 'L" shaped 1.5" wide clear plastic that fits in felt slot and into opening were blade goes
look at uper left and you can see some of the L plastic....
hummm.. i have thought of selling it ...:D

I only have six 110 's .... if I bought that display I would be obligated to fill her up..... dangit!

oops!!:o :foot: I thought you meant the knives! All the displays in those pictures are from SMKW. I don't have any of the ones I have made as I have given them as gifts but I do have one with my military items in it. I'll get a picture of it sometime and post it.

That is reminiscent of the company [sorry; CRS] that makes a pictureframe with part of your military uniform in it...left shoulder & sleeve, fruit salad, rank, lapel emblems, hash marks, etc...I always thought that was neat...:) ...they take your dress coat to make the display...unfortunately, my dress coat went out my car window somewhere along the Pennsylvania Turnpike while speeding home from the Philly Naval Hospital back in '71... :(

Great displays guys! I like all the old display box pins and patches too.
How appropriate, you made a display out of a wanted poster frame? Shouldn't you have pictures in there of the knives you are still looking for though?

I have found two old Buck retail display's (FREE)one needs repair.
I could cut a cardboard replica of the knife that I need for the display's.

I have something similar to that hanging on my wall. Just before I retired, my command presented me with a dislay that had my ribbons, medals, misc devices along with rank insignias, a list of all my previous commands and the folded flag, all under glass. Makes me think I'm dead! I'm going to use it as a template for a couple of knife cases, modified with hinges so it can be opened up.
