I came across this forum and thought I would share with you all some knives my father in law made. His name is Steven Chrisjohn. He got the baldes from a guy who makes his own blades, the smaller knife has a blade made out of a harley davidson chain and its got a beaver jaw with some stone inlays all the metal surounding the stones is silver. The larger knife has a deer antler handle, bear claw guard, and has a bear carved on the end. Hope you enjoy.

What part of the work was done by your F-I-L? If he did everything but the blades, he seems very talented and could easily move to grinding the blades himself. His style doesn't appeal to me, but there seems to be some good work.

he made everything but the blades. I think on occasion he will get a blank and grind it, but these blades were given to him. He is a perfectionist when it comes to making things, wheather its a sculpture, a painting, or jewelry, (or in this case), a knife, he doesnt cut any corners and does excellent work. He is Native American so his artwork, jewlry and knives lean toward native american designs.

i forgot to mention the wooly mammoth tusk inlay the big knife has, he made me a work knife thats real nice too, this one is alot simpler, but its a work knife not really for display. its got turqoise inlay and wooly mammoth tusk inlay. and silver. the sheath is handmade as well:

Just as an update, i came to find out that the blades were made by Joseph Cordova, a famous blade maker. I want to get a hold of some more detailed photos of those knives to try an post them on here, they really are a work of art.
