Sweet!!!! Love seeing knife pics!

Its alright. Well built. But to be honest with ya, I am not crazy about the blade shape. Also, its too big for me to edc. It works good in the garden though. I used it a little last year to dig out and cut up some pretty tough weed roots. On a scale of 1-10 with one being unusable and ten being very well designed I would give it a 6. But thats just my opinion.

Yeah I got the same impression when fooling with it at a shop.

Is that a military with the carbon scales?

Out of all the knives I have carried, its the buck fixed blade with the black handle that I have never owned. Cool knife.

Whats you top three and what do EDC?

That Buck Vanguard, is that a Cabalea's Alaskan GUide version? I ask that because of the black coated blade. What do you think of it?

I am not sure but are you talking about my Endura 4?

Top three would be:

1)Buck 105 "woodsman". My first love is whitetail deer hunting and this is the best knife I have found for me to field dress deer with.

2)Mora #780, triflex craftsman. I haven't had this one for very long, but it already has become one of my favorites due to its feel, blade steel, and overall usefulness.

3)Between the Spyderco "Endura 4" or the Blade Tech "Wenger pro hunter lite". I EDC the Spyderco for awhile, but I really like the Blade Tech's design. I have only had it for three days so we will see, but I am pretty sure its going to be #1 soon.

As far as my EDC, like I said it was the Endura, but it has been the Wenger for the last 3 days.

I am sorry mrostov, but its not the Cabela's version. It is a shadow on the blade.

I like the knife though. The blade was to wide for cutting around the deer's anus, but other than that I thought it was a great knife. Very heavy duty and well built for what it is. I could be carried as a survival knife.

I was thinking about getting the cabela's alakan guide vanguard for hunting i like the S30V steel...but you don't like the blade shape, and that confirms my suspicions, that it is too wide. (my deer knife has been a buck 110 for quite some time)

do you think the mora will be a good deer processing knife?...i was thinking about getting a helle for this chore based on the review in Field & stream magazine...similar blade profile to the mora.

I seen that review, nice knife. Yeah I think the mora would be great knife to process deer.

Yeah, the 192 I have I love, great little knife. Do you like your gerber caper?
I had the Freeman hunter, but not the caper, I ended you taking the handles of and using it kinda like a "survival" knife that I could lash to things.

Looks like you're the kind of person that values function over flash, I like that. No multi-$100 BS either, from what I can tell. You need at least one big chopper though :D
