I just finished a day of mods and tinkering yesterday and while the finish might be a bit rough I'm kinda proud of them.

First I re profiled, engraved and dyed my Endura ffg in grey. Now depending on the light it goes from British racing green to a light forest green. I also sharpened the jimping now it grabs my thumb and doesn't let go.

Next I reprofiled my new Stretch 2 in ZDP-189 and discovered that i need a better engraving tool for the hard stuff. I also swapped the black coated clip on the endura for the factory polished clip on the Stretch and took the coating off and it took on a almost patina finish. I left the color as it was because i really like it though i did disassemble and oil all the internals. I sharpened the jimping on this knife front and back.

Lastly I tried to strip the clip on my PM2 hoping for similar results as my Endura to Stretch clip but it ended up with a dark brushed finish.

I like the mods. You can get rid of the finish on the clips with a Scotch-Brite pad and some elbo grease

I used a wire brush on a Dremel to strip the clips but the cool thing with the clip that's on the Stretch is between the color of the scales and the finish is it disappears in dark washed Levis (505 are my fave)

I used Scotch-Brite and a lighter to give my clip a flame brushed look. It came out with a little bit of purple (not quite blue) in the flame brushed areas and the rest is gray. I figured the heat treat doesn't matter too much except around where the bolt goes and immediately after that. I think I might try to forcce a patina on it if possible.

Cheers,
Connor
