Knifemakers' Guild Honorary membership drive.
The Knifemakers'Guild is in the middle of a membership drive to recruit more Honorary members.
Honorary Membership entitles you to these benefits:
1- Free entry to the President's Gala on Thursday night for the Honorary member and family or guest. This is a banquet with entertainment, lots of good food and the opportunity to hobknob with us knifemakers. Also,at this function, Honorary Members have the opportunity to purchase special knives on display at the Gala prior to the start of the show on Friday.

2- Free and early entrance to The Guild Show all three days.

3- Free entry to the Saturday night drinks and light hors d'oeuvres reception.

4- At the Show,Honorary Members may enter into a special drawing open only to the Honorary Members that gives away four knives made by the makers whose knives were used in all the Guilds advertising for that years show. The winners of this drawing DON'T have to be present to win,the knives are mailed to the winners.

5- Best of all,the prestige of being a member and supporter of THE KNIFEMAKERS' GUILD!

The membership drive to recruit new paid Honory Members continues until the Thursday prior to the opening of The Guild Show 2013.

Incentives for recruiting new Honorary Members.

HONORARY MEMBERS: For each new paid Honorary Member that you recruit, you will be issued a certificate worth $25.00 that can be used toward the purchase of any knives or products from any Guild Knifemaker or Associate Member at The Knifemakers' Guild Show. I missed this post! Darn. I live in Louisville, and tried to make it out there. I did get a chance to swing by the Seelbach hotel, and get some materials, but unfortunately my weekend was taken up by a personal emergency. I was looking forward to the show for months! The website wasn't clear that I could have come by on Thu, or Fri. It wasn't until I picked up the show program in person that I saw that there was some time where the show was open to the public. Also it wasn't until I saw it on the program that there was an honorary membership. Being a relatively new collector, i don't personally know any knifemakers in the Guild, so I wouldn't have a sponsor to join anyway. Seeing your post, I realize I totally missed an opportunity to go on Thursday. That's my fault for not scouring this forum for posts about this weekend's show.

Please post again next year, as I'd be very interested to have the same opportunity at the next show.
