My old traveling companion dug out some of the old cracked and mildewed pictures of our trip to Nepal in '79 or '80. (We're debating the date) He scanned them, fixed them up in Photoshop and posted them at http://209.166.87.225/PICTURES/html/1980/Nepal/default.htm . The files are pretty big so a fast connection helps to look at them.
I'm working my way through them. You won't find many pictures of knives, but it will give a glimpse of a world far away in time and space.
I'm the guy in the middle of the 4th row, wearing the yellow sweater. I look pretty much the same today. Possibly even more handsome. Only differences now are my glasses are thicker, a big paunch, beard getting white, weight x1.5, a little leprosy, some missing body parts ...
