Hi there folks, I just thought I would post a few photo's of some older knives that have come home....if you
are anything like me, you love looking at photos of knives-so heres a few for you, I am waiting for a nice
fixed blade that is having some trouble getting here...so here,s hoping I can welcome that old knife home...
and a few nice older ones on their way as well..in the mean time...please check out these ol' girls...I think
they are quite neat.
Please forgive me, as I havent yet had the time to study the past history of the manufacturer of these to beable to tell all.. any info is most welcome everyone :o, but until then...here they are..

Here is a very, very cool Carl Schlieper ( I have great respect for the earlier knives of this maker ), Im
thinking you would have seen these before, as I suspect a few of us forum members have scored one of
these ( thank you Vince :)), now I have two of these, and its quite
interesting that there are slight variations between the two knives....these are from the 1940's ( not my
knowledge unfortunately - as per quoted )..as good as the day they were made..

I just cant stop studying this knife...mean punch blade.

A lovely earlier jigged bone Imperial, blades have had use, and looks to have been cleaned-but not too
severly,
man this knife has grown on me extremely quickly, neat swedge, nice knife all round

Here is a lovely knife...this is so well made, The bone has a deep brown glow to it in the light, I apologize I
haven't captured this for you, Tang is stamped..KUTMASTER - UTICA. NY - MADE IN U.S.A.
The shield has on it ..Buster brown shoes. The fit and finish is just superb.
the knife has great actions, and I love the long pull, and the shape of the main blade

This one has only ENDERES stamped on the main blade, ( again....not from my knowledge, but from seller ) ..
dated 1916 - 1926...very cool knife with punch blade, lovely actions, it has been cleaned up at one stage,
but nothing over the top...seems like its only a few years old...a well made knife, and a joy to own - the
swedges are nicely defined, the snap is just awesome...again....nice long pull on the main blade..its got
everything.

Nice haul Duncan. Thanks for sharin... The Kutmaster has nice lookin scales.

Duncan you have enough cattle knives there for a real old west roundup and cattle drive. Good stuff!

You have some nice ones there, Duncan! I can't decide which one I like the best.

I'm a real sucker for equal end knives and those all look great. Nice photos too. Love that group shot!

Nice knives Duncan  . I think ,on that Schlieper, that's a "marlin spike" ,not a punch
-Vince :)

Nice cattle and utility knives, Duncan. --that's quite a haul! Are you totin' one of the cattle knives today? I don't think I could resist carrying one.

Nice Duncan! How is the quality on that Imperial? I've been picking up older knives lately too, but have shied away from some brands. From what I've been reading though, it seems that I need to give the older Imperials a second look.

You've been on a roll lately with all your acquisitions, Duncan! This is a very nice group. The Schlieper is way cool and I also like the Buster Brown knife. Brown Shoe started here in St Louis. While their manufacturing is no longer domestic, they own a number of other brands and operate a chain of shoe stores under a different name. I believe their HQ is still in the area. If you're interested, here is a link that shows the history of the company and also the Buster Brown character.

Nice ones, Duncan. I have a similar Imperial. It is a sentimental favorite and just a great old knife.

I have an Imperial Cattleman just like Elliott and Duncan. He's right, it's a great old knife. The thin blades take a very nice edge.

Great haul Duncan! I too have a fondness for Cattle/EE patterns. And my Imperial is one of my favorites - it hails from an age of great knives!!

Beauties. I've never seen a marlin spike on a knife that isn't the standard seaman's pattern before. That's a great knife.

Charlie's cattleman is indeed an incredible knife. It led to both me and Elliott picking up examples of our own. Here's mine.
