Not sure why I bought it. I guess that makes me a collector :D
Rougher pivot than my CQC-7, but I hope it breaks in.
Interestingly, the screwdriver that fits in the pivot screw of my CQC-7 doesn't fit in my P-Sark, so I guess there's some variation in the screw head.

No need to wax lyrical here, overall just a pretty cool knife.

Great pictures of your P-Sark!

The pivots on some of the knives are a little rough but that is normal and just needs a little breaking in like most knives.

It’s time like this I should have borrowed my friends digital camera and taken some pictures of my Super Combat Karambit which I should so soon seeing as my last digital camera got toasted when another friend of mine spilt some water on it.

Hey, in your last thread you said it saved a wedding, how did your new P-Sark save the wedding?

Fantastic pictures Mike!

In the last minute I was able to cut the boutonniere holes that were still sewn shut from the rental tuxedos while all the guests waited around the corner for us to escort the wedding party down the isle.

All the groomsmen and fathers wore their boutonnieres that day thanks to that P-Sark. Also, it may be the first time an Emerson was waved out of a tuxedo :D

On a side note, a Greek sword was bought from W&W and presented as a gift to the MC, to the delight of 100+ guests- a great laugh was had by all.

I rarely bother with my digital camera anymore- all those pics were taken with a Sony cellphone camera from Rogers!

Ahhh! nice! Using the wave when wearing a tux.. that has to be a first but yet kinda James Bond-ish if you will.

Great to hear your new P-Sark was used to save the day!

Ahahaha! nice! my buddy wanted the Stinger from the Lord of the Rings but has no place to really put it since his girlfriend would probly chuck it out the window just because it doesn't match anything in the house and doesn't like weapons.

My phones digital camera is horrible so I won't use that and I should get a new Sony Ericsson as well that has a better camera.

The specwar handle is the best...

I picked up a SARK here a little while ago but its being 'reworked' to give it a bit more 'attitude' :)

Update-

It really did break-in. I took it apart and cleaned it as well; the gritiness is gone and pivot action is much smoother, like my CQC-7

Question- are the (teflon?) washers supposed to be lubricated?

That isn't good.. I've heard that sometimes you need to position the washers around to get a better feel, but since yours is good now you wouldn't need to tinker around with it.

I am not sure around lubricating the teflon washers seeing as they are suppose to be smooth without any lubrication but as a general rule I always keep a small drop of oil like (mineral oil) which won't gather much dust or sand and is easier to clean away than a thicker oil, WD-40 as I've heard isn't really a good lubricant and is more of something used to clean up pivots and other areas like that. My best solution would be to go to W&W to findout from J if you should use any lubricants on your Emerson first.

yes of course ya wanna lube the pivot, tuffglide works well, rem-oil too ($1.49 @ walmart).

i dont know of any knife which it wont help to keep the pivot lubed.

I've used militec on the pivot, which helps but doesn't make much sense, as there's no metal on metal contact. Works anyway...

How secure is the liner lock? I've heard that the liner locks on Emersons leave a lot to be desired while their frame locks are great.

I recently had a chance to check out the Emerson P sark and Commander in person at a local shop.Imo I was shocked at how thin the titanium liner locks were because I was lead to believe the testimonials of seviceman and emerson motto that these are HARD USE KNIVES.The only knives of Emerson's that I wiil trust IMO are the HD Titanium Frame Locks.

I've never tried stabbing through car doors and what not, but they seem no more or less secure than other quality liner locks.
There is no flex in the liner using STR's testing method.

i swear EKI's and LL issues, lol, i give up.............

imho they are no better/no worse than any other LL made by whomever irregardless of liner thickness, again, if ya wanna see a thin liner on a knife go look at a spyderco military, which, imho, is also marketed as a hard use knife.
