I like the Classic Sebenza's handle and the Regular Sebenza's blade.

So, I took them both apart and locked them in my vise and took my Dremil tool and a big grinding bit...

Just kidding.

It's just that the Classic handle is WAY more comfortable for me. (The handle on the Small Classic is CRAZY comfortable - probably the most comfortable knife for me EVER!)

The Regular blade has a stronger tip and, from my experience, is ground slightly thicker right behind the edge.

Oh, well. Maybe if I keep grinding I can get the blade from my Sable I into this handle.

dang democrats! if it aint broke dont fix it!

Are you talking Large or Small Sebenzas here? I always thought the tips were about the same on the Sm. Sebenzas, I cant ever see that much difference in the blade profile of the Smalls, ofcourse I've never held them right together either. I know they are definitely thicker on the Lg. Regs vs. the Lg. Classics? Am I way off on this one?

I definitely prefer the classic handle and blade, but the regular blade does seem like it would be much stronger towards the tip. I personally think the regular handle seems mishapen and ugly. It also looks like it would be uncomfortable.

The Classic has some shape to it, the Regular is just like a rectangular slab of titanium.

It's been a LONG time since I've talked politics on a knife forum. Most people have forgotten about me.;)

And, hey, we're for "progress".

(End of subject. Don't get this thread moved. )

Good question. I only have small classic and no small regular so I can't compare side-by-side.

The regulars have more belly so they naturally have more steel near the tip. And, yeah, the Classic handles seem to lock into you hand with that pronounced indent where the index finger goes. I also really don't mind that they have the relief to make it easier to unlock. It reminds me of the oldest liner locks which I also really liked in the 1980s.

I'm wondering if the blades are interchangeable between the classic and the regular Sebenza?

Nope, i don't think so Sir, I tried with larges unsucessfully.

The classic blade is slightly longer than the regular blade, and if my memory serves me correctly, CRK has stated that a regular handle would not fully contain a classic blade when the knife is closed. On top of that, blades are custom fitted to handles, so blades and handles are not interchangeable even within the same model.

I think grinding the blade down would be a great idea................

Naw they will fit, I use a 5 pound short maul, just a few medium hits is all it takes.
