Here is a set of Petty Sujihiki that I've just finished up. I used a lot of maple for the handles so that I could get the balance I wanted with such a thin light blade.

I've started grinding my primary bevel down to .003 prior to sharpening so these bad boys take an awesome edge

I'll have em on the way to Mark at CKTG soon

first up

216mm edge 52100 with a forced Mustard Patina
D Shaped - Curly Maple Handle with Buffalo horn ferrule (there is some crazy killer curl in this maple, beautiful stuff)
1.7mm spine at the heel 1.4mm spine at the middle
weighs 130 grams balances about 1cm from the ferrule
41mm tall at the heel

210mm edge 52100 with a forced Mustard Patina
Octagon - Cocobolo Handle with Buffalo horn ferrule
1.7mm spine at the heel 1.3mm spine at the middle
weighs 155 grams balances at the end of the ferrule

205mm edge 52100 Satin Finish
Octagon - Dark Stained Curly Maple Handle with Buffalo horn ferrule (there is some crazy killer curl in this maple, beautiful stuff)
1.7mm spine at the heel 1.35mm spine at the middle
weighs 140 grams balances about 1cm from the ferrule
40mm tall at the heel
