Hey folks.. Just wanted to share some pics of my GSO 3.5.. It arrived here last Thursday..
I have been a long time knife junkie, and have experienced/used many fine knives over the years.. So far from what I have seen, I am very impressed with Survive ! Knives, and with what Guy and his crew have been doing.. They're pumping out solid, user oriented knives meant for real world use..
I primarily use knives in the 3.5-4.5 size range and have wanted to get my hands on one of the GSO 4.1 or 3.5's, since they were released.. As supply and demand goes, sometimes that can be very difficult.. It seemed that when they were available I either wasn't quick enough on the draw or I had no $$..
Well that all changed, I happen to have a little extra $$ from a side job, and noticed a 3.5 for sale in the exchange forum.. It was a killer deal, so I snatched it quick..
It sports CPM3V steel and camo micarta scales.. So far I am just in love with this knife.. The design is just perfect.. It's fine blend of a good utility style knife and an EDC knife..

I have gotten to play around quite a bit with it since it arrived, and frankly I just can't put it down.. The knife is crazy sharp.. It's prepped a few outdoor fires in the backyard as well as some BBQ use..

I am also really impressed with how lightweight this knife is.. I carried it around in my HPG kit bag a few times and barely noticed it was there.. Here it is with my High Brass leatherworks, custom firesteel.. The 3V steel throws some awesome sparks too.. WOW !!

As much as I love this kydex sheath.. I am definitely more of a leather guy.. I have been doing leatherwork for years, and generally make my own sheaths.. I made this sheath a few years back and It fits a handful of different knives I have.. The 3.5 fits perfect in it too..

Posted this in the pic thread, but here it is again anyways.. At it's new home in the Redwoods..

Well just a few pics and thought.. I am stoked to finally be able to get my hands on one of these knives.. It was well worth the wait.. Back to work chopping/splitting and stacking wood to dry..

Cheers... Mike
