Just arrived back yesterday. A big thanks to Guy and Yuval for putting on another great event in Israel.

Thought the Spyderco family might want to check out some of the pics from the trip.

That might be the most impressive mid-air pic I have seen since the Michael Jordan poster as he dunks from the foul line.

Great pics.

Jim,

You definitely have to make one of the road trips soon, but definitely plan for Manilla in 2006.

That's my mate Daz, he is normally the shy retiring type  Must be something in the water in Israel :D

That third girl from left is Yuval's ( Capt Picard's) wife Neomy....she's very cool..a killer in class and extremely unfriendly with a blade...
and of course beautiful as all Israeli girls are....

be safe

What are those big blades? They look nice, but I'd like to see a shot of one in full profile.

I learned to use a bullwhip many years ago and it is fun, but you need to be damned careful or you'll hurt yourself badly. Kind of like a Gunting. Just remember that the "Crack" that you hear is a sonic boom.

Some of the other bolo trainers were cast aluminium made in Israel.

FYI, approx. 15" blade, 21" overall.

Steve22595, thanks for the great pictures! That looks to be a very nice knife. Any history on who designed it? Is it still available and, if so, where and how much?

Hugh,

It's a traditional design from the Philippines. Several makers have been doing them for years.

CSSD is developing a modern version that handles like the original, but we also found a cool substitute in the meantime:

Contact Greg at: grbeeman@cssdnorthwest.com . He can hook you up with one for under $100 (shipped, I think).

Hope this helps.
