Took a little walk by a small river in the rain today with a friend. Thought I would share.

Ofcourse I brought a fishing rod and grabbed a couple of trout for lunch.

All cooked up.

On a different note. On Tuesday I was doing some fishing from the shore of a lake. Anyway I hung up one of my favorite lures on a submerged tree. Long story short I got the lure back. Man the early spring water is cold!
However, I neglected to dry my knife and sheath when I got back home. So if you all are wondering what happens to a carbon steal blade when you leave it in a wet sheath for a couple of days. Here you go..

Ooops :D

Nice fish. I'll take that bucket'o'rust off your hands, its clearly nut-good anymore ;)

Nice photos Tony!

But don't freak the carbon-phobes out :) That rust is just the beginning of a nice patina. Scratch it off and it will be the better for it :)

Thanks Brian.

I allready sanded the surface rust off the flats and left the patina. The edge bevel is once again mirror:thumbup:

By the way, remember what the knife use to look like?

Who says a rainy day is bad? Looks like a great day to me!

Those photo's show some interesting terrain. Can you link me to the area thru PM? I'd like to read about it.

Great pics, that fish looks good and I love me some Hoegaarden! But what are you doing with all that rain? It's gonna be 90 here tomorrow

sweet catch and i think you stole spring from us. you have a lot more green already than here!

p.s. planning an overnighter on the weekend of may 7th with a bunch of mtb'ers. let me know if you're free...there will be spam...and lots of it :D

Hell yeah Tony....Nice catch. You cook em the same way as I do...Trouts my favorite fish. Ive caught a few nice ones this year already. What did you catch em on?

Nice job cleaning up that blade. Good to hear you got the lure back. I hate losing tackle.

Nice looking lunch Tony.

Being the traditional, fancy pants Connecticut gentleman we all know you to be, I presume you also fall into the category of obsessive-compulsive fanatical fly fishermen.

Thanks fellas!

90! Ouch, stay inside or come over here and hang out bro:thumbup:

bummer about your knife man..

Nothing to be bummed about, it just gives me something to do. I enjoy sharpening my knives, so it's all good.

. I need to go fishing. Thanks for the pics.

Yes you do, specially up at the little mountain lake you always go to. That place is beautiful!

Spam will make me want to stay home, but I'll see if I can swing the time away. Thanks for the invite:thumbup:

but we all know you don;t have any friends

Dream killer:mad:

Some inline spinners in chartreuse.

Man I have lost allot of money in lures and gear over the years..

Seriously though, I would like to learn how to fly fish one of these days.
