Hey everyone, I was at a bit of a loose end the other day, and wanted the chance to take a few photos of some of my knives, I havent had the opportunity to photograph a couple of them..so I thought...RIGHT!!...its happening...
In the end a couple of them came out nice, and some are pretty darn crappy, but I hope you find the time to take a looksee, please dont get me wrong, they arent huge dollar customs, but I think a few of them are abosolute honeys....your opinions are always most welcome-whether you like the knives or not.
I just love Stag, bone - be it jigged or not...I find it quite mesmerising looking at the colours, the style of jigging-as you guys do too Im guessing:)
Please note, you will see film and light fluff on blades-thats just a thin coat of Mineral oil.
Here are two nice examples of Stag...I am quite atteached to both of these knives..they do a lot of your smaller everday work-the reprofiled blade of the pruner is a garden knife, and my G.E.C is my favourite edc..

Schatt & Morgan Premier Muskrat...this thing has lovely bone, and jigging..this is one very cool knife! :)

Case Classic 6391 large sleeveboard splitspring whittler, this knife is a big knife, over 4&1/2 closed, the bone is just incredible..A real nice knife in my opinion, shown with a lovely Standard Knife-Case bros trapper, and an Antique Bone Trapper, Antique bone Queen Stckman, and my lovely little Primble..this is one hell of a nicely made knife...I am very attached to this lovely little knife

Very nice jigged bone , very nice colour..very nice wee knife!

I love this stag trapper! With that patina and stag it looks so well aged, like it's seen plenty carry and lots of good, honest, work. That's the sort of old blade I really admire.

Beauties all! I don't care much for stag, but those are an exception for sure. And I love Old Timers. Those are CLEAN. Thanks for the photos!

Great pictures Duncan. I like the Trap you used for a prop too

Great photos of great knives. I wish that I could take shots like that. Tell us a little about that steel trap - That is coooool!

Thanks for sharing. I never get tired of looking at great pocket knives. Even though I like fixed blades, I don't get the same enjoyment out of them. I particularly like the small yellow whittler you show the extra pics of. - Ed

Nice bunch of knives Duncan. The Primble whittler would never leave my pocket, such a sweeeeet little knife.

Congrats and thanks for the look.

Best regards

Robin

You have good taste in pocketknives, Duncan! An obviously carefully selected and cared-for collection!
And I certainly don't mind seeing oiled knives!!;)

Duncan, thank you for sharing your collection. That GEC is beautiful. I received that knife in rotten banana last week, and all of the sudden I found myself not looking or shopping. It is a great EDC. Without a doubt a keeper.

Hey there guys- thank you for the comments

I always... ALWAYS love looking at your knives that you all put up in the forum here-so I am just thinking that if you are anything like me...its neat to have a look at others tastes etc
Some of these knives were bought through the exchange that we have here-its great, as you get to deal with the people who you see "floating" around in the forum.
Ok...Im off to work, have a great day folks.

Edit..Christian, the pruner is good for whats its used for, and that is just to take out and trim the odd branch etc-so its great to have with me in the garden, to be honest...I think next time...rather than try to ressurect a wreck like that again, and try and put it to use...I may just display the knife for what it has done, and the wonderfull Stag it still features etc.

I would love to time to reply to all seperately, but time doesnt allow that.

The trap is used here for trapping opposums, which decimate our native forests...superb fur, considered by many to be superior to mink...(hollow fibre)
