Nice knife, IMO they're prettier nekkid!
When I first joined the Busse forum I was a little weary of removing a coating because I was told that they have a very rough finish underneath. I haven't really found this to be the case, and I have been very pleasantly surprised at how unrough (ie smooth) the finish actually was. Nice job.
.
ADDED:
Could you please tell us exactly what you did? I assume you used a chemical or solvent to remove the finish, right? If so, which liquid did you use. And I would appreciate knowing if you polished it up at all. Thanks!

No, its only my hard hands work, I used sand-paper 120, 240, 400, 800, 1200, 2400 and polish cream. I didnt use any machine or driller. Every liquid was inefficient. I did it near 15 hours.

Very nice work bro! A lot of patience too, that coating doesnt give up easy! I did one by hand with sandpaper, then I found Bix gel and never looked back. Bix will take out the coating down to the metal in about 30-40 minutes.

That sheath is a blast from the past. Neat to see its in Poland now! One of these days the daughter and I will get a world map and a bunch of pushpins, a good geography lesson! :D

That looks great.

I've been thinking of doing mine but haven't built up the courage yet.

Very nice job.

nice to see my old knife, I miss that old sheath !!

mmmmm - dwayno, when you going to send me that extreme sheath we were talking about ??

Good looking knife!

I also like how the director got the piglet to walk in the back of the scene on movie 6 (being chased by that wicked man). Nice touch!:D

Nice job on the blade! I did the same not too long ago with a RW. A lot of work but a lot of fun also.

Man, that is a beautiful sheath! Great work, leatherman!

lol, i saw that and went "*gasp*, is that my high ride mod factory cordura sheath? craaaaaaazy...."

having owned that knife myself as well, it does indeed look better in satin... and i also miss that sheath....

(that, or someone actually copied my high ride knot, wich would have been even crazier...)
