Just got back from the Token Kai. Great stuff for sale and got some new ideas for future projects.

Check out the activity of this blades' Hamon (temper line).

Here is a pic of a Tanto that is made by Anthony DiCristofano (www.sukemitsu.com). Blade steel is folded Japanese Tamahagne.

Here are some blades made by Yoshindo Yoshihara (classified as a national living treasure by Japan). His blades are awesome. If you have to ask how much his stuff cost, you can't afford it.

Here are some antique Tanegashimas that still work. :)

Any big swords? I love the nodachi and odachi..
That three-barrelled teppo is amazing..as rare as it gets.
That price sounds just about right.

Thanks for the beautiful images. You did a great job of capturing the hamon.

Great pics, BA...as always:)

That is some gorgeous steel.

wow.. excellent stuff. I'm glad they don't hold shows out in my neck of the woods like that. I'd be one poor sucker :D.

One marvels at the precision of the lines, the bevels... every aspect of the blades' manufacture. The phrase "excruciating perfectionism" might be apropos, considering the time required using traditional methods.

Awesome pics! I count myself among the envious. :D

I have looked at a lot of swords, and I have really only found two kinds of hamon that turn me on.
1. Choji (clove) style. Looks kinda like tiger stripe to me.
2. Straight hamon. A sword with a straight hamon was made for killing, a true weapon. You dont see those very much.
