Cool. I assume that 6.5 Bonestag is in CV? I have that exact knife, and I've made handles for my small files and other small items as well. What angle do you sharpen at for carving & whittling, and do you use any fixed blade carvers?

I've really got to get me a digital camera. Christmas is comin'...

thx - cpr

orca, that's the one. it was given to me as a gift several months ago, and i have been carrying it almost exclusively since.

i don't know the angle, but they are very thin. i would guess maybe 5 degrees per side on the clip. i just lay it flat and then raise the spine a tiny bit.

i sometimes use a mora to carve with, but i don't have any chip carving or other knives specifically for carving.

Thats a nice knife, and a nice chisel.
I love old tools, Its at least as much fun to rework them as it is to use them.
