OK, I'm a sucker for nice burl and filework, so I ordered this one.

Has anyone heard of the maker? He seems to do some nice work. Not quite up to Flatlanders artistry, but close. I would have liked NS bolsters a little better than brass, but that's just me.

Very nice! As 334dave can attest, it is a bi*ch getting those thin liners to hold a Torx screw...

There appear to be brass escutcheons in the Burl that the Torx screws bear against...that is a lot of work!!! (Did he actually filework each Torx screw, too???)

(BTW: The photography is excellent!) ;)

I wish the photograpy was mine, but it's the sellers. As far as the "torx screws", I'm thinking that they are just decorative.

Ah, yes, you're right - "Mosaic Pins" Jantz calls them..."Gatlin" design...

Lemme see if I can link it...Ah! They're something like this one -

Day-em!!! They're expensive...

Burl scale set is pretty reasonable though...

Edit: Wait a minute..." Mosaic Pin 1/4" dia. 12" length"...Hmmm...OK, you buy the stick and cut them to the size you need...That makes sense...I guess...

rubber buckys together ..
there is a way with the same thing as the alpha hunter
were the rivet like threads are fixed like trax says
would make for interchangeable scales that way..
