Some Pretty Cool Pics

Great patina on that Hunter, and fantastic pics!

Thanks, I did a forced patina to start with, and then all of the different fruits and vegetables, meats, and and steak sauce, have developed it even more.

Mistwalker, thanks for sharing! Nice Patina!! I love seeing used knives.

Those persimmons are smaller then the ones my neighbor had in Southern California back in the day. I wonder why.... Though they sure were tasty. ;)

Great shots of the country and knives. Had to laugh at a comment on the other post about not knowing you needed frost on the persimmons before eating. Try one before and one after-answer comes quick! We had a pretty good crop on this side of the ridge.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for another wonderful thread. I know it takes time to not only go out and have the fun :) but more so to load the photos and write the commentary. Your efforts always receive my full appreciation!

Thanks man, glad you liked it. Those out there may have been Japanese persimmon trees, or the tree may have been pruned...or it may have gotten more sun and soil nutrition. These are wild an compete with a lot of other trees and leafy vines. I'm going to work on some of that soon though.

Thanks man. Yeah most who eat one before the frost don't really want to try it again. That's ok with me though, I don't mind that so few around here even realize they're edible. It's bad enough having to share with the coyotes :)
