hi all,
im looking into a new knife for edc purposes, nothing too crazy, my present knife will be demoted to the workhorse role. anyhoo, i was doing searches on the twitch II and found that some had issues with blade play and lock play. my question is: were these just rare defects? if not have these issues been resolved?

thanks, and ill anxiously await some responses

Robbowie, welcome to Bladeforums, I would not say they are defects, I think it is a mechanical adjustment that can very easily be adjusted to suit the user.

I have examined many SOGs that were near perfect adjustment. Then once in a while I would look at one that in my opinion could stand to be "tweaked" on the pivot screw, which by the way I do on all mine very simply with a 5/64th allen tool on pivot screw in a few seconds.

There is a problem that I had with two of the black Ti models that allowed the blade to close even though the blade was locked open and the secondary lock was engaged. SOG could not correct the problem and the knife was exchanged for a fixed blade model. It is a tolerance problem in the lock mechanism not the blade pivot. It happened on quite a few from what I understand and the black Ti model was discontinued.

I liked the knife but after the problems encountered with it would not consider one for an EDC. The Blink is far better.

Vince.
