Hello everyone, I am new to the Himalayan Imports store & forum and I am looking to buy a blem khukuri for my birthday on June 21st. Can anyone tell me how to buy a blem khukuri? Do I need to message the person who made the thread and say which one I intend to buy? Also, how much extra do I need to pay for shipping, or is it all inclusive?

Thank you.

P.S. Does anyone know if the "light & fast" khukuris are a new design or if they have been around for a long time? They seem very nice, long and slender with a lot of power but without weighing too much! I want one of those. :)

Also, if anyone is interested these are the two khukuris I currently own, one is a WW2 Indian khukuri that belonged to my step-fathers great uncle, and the other is a cheap one I bought a couple of years ago that is more of a khukuri-like-object than a genuine khukuri. But I want the real deal from HI. :)

Typically you just wait for a DOTD (deal of the day) post from Yangdu and then send her an email with your intent to purchase. She will let you know all the details, she is excellent at responding to email. You will have to be fast though. There are many sharks in the waters here.

If you have something specific your looking for you can also email Yangdu and let her know. She may have something on hand. I'm sure she would keep an eye out for you as well.
As Tony mentioned there are many sharks but like myself they usually are short on funds. So in addition to being quick, have the loot on hand, that will make you the lead shark.
Actually that's why I'm here this minute, looking for the DOTD that I have no loot to spend on, so I guess I'm an unarmed shark?

Email me and let me know which blem knife you would like to buy.
Email to himimp@aol.com
Welcome to the HI and Forum, keikuru

Thank you ;) thanks for the responses too. I'll e-mail you when I have some money on hand and we can work something out. I really don't care about the knife itself as long as it's under $130 + shipping and is fully functional (hairline cracks are fine, but anything that needs replacing I can't do.)

I'm just like you Bawanna, an unarmed shark, perusing over the super good deals without being able to buy anything, hehe. :)

I was just curious what the buying process was.

Usually lots of choices on the DOTD's easily in that price range.

I told you Yangdu would take care of ya, didn't I tell ya. It's like we're telepathic or something.

I'm gonna be down in the neighborhood of the computer shack next week. I'm hoping I have the honor and privilege of meeting Yangdu in person. Kind of a whirlwind road trip, not much time but hoping to connect. Never really met anyone famous before.

Perhaps we should refer to ourselves and toothless sharks, unarmed just sounds so defenseless ya know. I'm always poor but never unarmed thanks again to Yangdu and Sam Colt.
