Some Questions

I recently got a CE Vapor II. It's the first knife I've fully disassembled, and I plan on doing some work on it, then giving it to a friend (maybe not if I make it too nice ).

The serrations are the most agressive serrations I've ever seen (excluding the really saw like ones), a hell of a lot more than my Charge. Do you think they're too agressive?

I can just knock down the points a bit, and reprofile the edge right?



I want to try put a patina on it. What's procedure for that? Prepatory stuff?

as to the serrations, do they not work well? try them out before modifying them. But you can always us a small file or some hi-grit sandpaper to round out the tips while keeping them sharp. I don't know how to patina a stainless blade though. Maybe check in Shop Talk.
