While hiking around with my kids a few weeks ago, my daughter was pretending her walking stick was a horse and it gave me an idea. STICK HORSES!! A few minutes later, thanks to my BK2, they were trotting around on a couple of bamboo horses.

Bamboo for the body and head, tied together with some vines. They loved them.

Just thought I'd share.

Location: Zushi, Japan.

Why you no have samurai sword? :D

Nice idea with those horses!

That's Great Rokclmb, that's the kind of stuff your kids will remember when they will grow up. I remember my dad making me a bow and arrow out of some sticks when I was about 5 or 6 and we went camping for the first time. Good memories!

Thats cool what did you use for the rope?
I tied them together with some vines.

They loved them, and of course, had to bring them home. After some time sitting at home the vines dried out and started to not hold them tight. I had to replace the vines with some string. Now they will last a much longer time.

Awesome stuff. I'm trying to teach my girls about "outdoor" toys. And some imagination.

When I was a kid, everystick was a pirate sword, light saber, rifle, club, and spear. We made our own bows and arrows, and played "fort", which was an excuse for us to beat the hell out of each other with our sticks, which at that time, was a Kentucky Long Rifle, Bowie Knife, and dynamite.

In case you are wondering, yeah, I still pretend all that stuff now, too. :D

You have no idea... My 3 cousins, all adults now, we get together and take a trip into the woods almost every month. (They live in different states) and do you know what we bring? Airsoft guns. We act like we did when we were young kids, it's a hell of a lot of fun :D
