WOW, lol Brian you took and have some awesome and stunning pics there.

The weather for the last 3 weeks or so has been so awesome in my area ( fall type weather) Kathy, Kelly Girl, and I have been spending more time out in the mornings down by the river and walking in the timber on both sides of it. I am really not looking forward to winter comming lol. I wish we could keep this weather all year long lol

Thanks Bryan, glad you liked the photos. I am really glad Autumn is upon us. I may regret it later but after a summer with 35 straight days of over 100 degree indexes I am looking forward to winter!

I think your pics get better every time you click the shutter. Beautiful detail. Thanks for sharing! :)

Great thread, as always, sir.
How big are the bobcat tracks compared to a house cat's? Half dollar?
I see cat prints when in the woods and can't distinguish if they are from strays or bobcats.
Thanks

Great photos Mist! Always enjoy them, keep 'em coming. As a city dweller, don't get out/away often enough and threads like this (Pitdog's and others too) help in the interim! Thank you!

Spiders.. I am frightened. It has rained a ton here the past two weeks, nothing but mud outside in my neck of the woods. Thanks for the pics... aside from the spiders.

Thank you very much. These were more the size of silver dollars, a half dollar would likely be a domestic cat.

Outstanding photos Mist!!!!!

Thanks Bill, glad you enjoyed them!!

Thanks Fred, glad you enjoy the posts. I know what you mean. I missed these woods the whole time I was stuck in Dallas.

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed them. Eh, most spiders don't bother me a whole lot as long as I see them first...before they are crawling on me :) We only have a couple that can do much more than make you ill...

Yeah, won't be long till the Autumn rains kick in here, I am looking forward to some of it...

Some great photos you have there. I'm sure you've been asked before but what camera are you using?

Nice photo's mist. That first spider shot is a stunner! Also cool on the mantis, I just saw my first of the year last week.

Thanks Ken, I took a series of photos of that spider in the woods of my own yard :) I was just fortunate to get the ones of it letting out its web. I really like to watch mantises. That one was looking at me like I what the heck are you doing as I first held the leaves back to snap a couple of pics and then just cut them out of my way for better ones, but it never ran off.

I'm not worried about anything poisonous or anything, we don't have many around here. But usually when I first see them, they are already on me.. which creeps me out quite a bit

As far as the rain, you can take ours if you want ;)

Yep, not much works better for getting the old cardio going than looking down at your left shoulder and seeing a timber spider that's bigger than the bottom of a coke can...and looks MUCH bigger at that moment

That's good stuff. I look forward to these post from you.

Thanks man, glad you enjoy the posts!

Man, I love these threads bro. That Hunter looks really good. Not much you can't tackle with it either. I gotta get you a Woodsman for pics.

Yeah, this thing has had some really good workouts lately and it has handled everything I've thrown at it like it was nothing, and it has been a pleasure to work with! It's looking a little different than it did a month ago to :) With all of the whittling the handle is starting to darken up too, and I really like the way natural canvas micarta ages. I really liked that last Woodsman I saw, the saber grind onn that one was stunning and I'm really diggin' the tweeks, sweet looking knife!

Thanks man. It's some kind of big ass puff ball type thing, no idea of the actual name. There were several large ones in that clearing.
