Went on an 8 day fishing trip on the Trinity River in Northern California for Chinook salmon, Rainbow and Brown Trout. Besides the massive amount of smoke everywhere from all the fires it was a great trip. We fished numerous holes up and down the river and also floated it a couple times. The total fish count was 12 salmon and 75 Rainbows and Browns. We only kept about 8 of the salmon and 10 of the trout. Trinity River is one of only rivers open this year in NorCal for salmon. The coast and Sac rivers are closed for Salmon this year. Ended the trip by stopping by our bow hunting spot to see if there were any Bucks around. No shooters. I didnt take alot of pictures but here are some random ones...
A view looking downriver...
Some of the terrain...
Ran into this California King Snake on the way downriver.
Scared this baby bird out of its nest when climbing a rock.
I think it is some sort of Nighthawk or Whippoorwill...Anyone know?
Culti and Fry
Ouch...
Rainbow...
Pretty little Brown...
