Outstanding. The Scout (nice MOTS), the Candle Tipped Lobster (beautiful MOP), and the Ebony Jack are all magnificent. What is the piercing blade on the jack used for?

I like the pointy bolsters on the Sword MOP knife!!

The Scout one is cool too
Trippy looking awl or reamer or whatever it is
Put that one in the MOTS thread Roland!!!!===>
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=599604

The awl is a Fuller Leather Punch. I had to do quite a few Forum searches to find the name. It was patented by NY Knife Company in 1916. Waynorth mentioned this punch blade name in a thread one time. (imagine that!).

Roland, great finds! That jack is outstanding!
I've seen similar scout shields on a number of Camillus scout knives, although I always thought that it was originally meant for the signal scout knives. At this point it looks like I was wrong.I've got one of the signals, but it's pretty worn. Although you can't really see, it shows a person holding flags in different positions to relay messages:

I've also seen that George Washington commem. with a Camillus stamp and box, I believe it was a recent Ebay item that I completely forgot to bid on:( , I'll see if I can find a link. Here are a couple of it's brethren, I believe the pinned one may have been an experiment?

PS- Found the knife, I saved the picture rather than the link since Ebay expires them after only thirty or so days I think. This one's got the Sword Brand stamp and went for $32:

Eric, thanks for the confirmation of my Sears 95114.
i like bidding on the Sears/Craftsman knives. if you know which ones are Camillus or Schrade, they usually go for less than a similar knife with manufacturers branding. i say "similar" as the Sears/Craftsman sometimes are slightly different being an SFO.

I started with a Sears 95206 years ago from Sears. I now have a 96233, 95231 and 95841 to go with it.

ea42,

Actually, the pinned on version was a later model. When they were originally made, the handles were bonded (glued) on. Later that was changed to pin on handles.

RickR, thanks for clearing that up, I've been wondering about that since I got them. I picked them up a few years back, right after Schrade closed in 2004, from someone who said they were part of what was sold at the auction. Of course who knows how much truth there was to that, or why Camillus knives were at a Schrade auction to begin with:confused:

Schrade made a lot of knives for Camillus, but not as many as Camillus made for Schrade.
I got quite a shock when I took apart a 61OT for repair and found that it was made without the Swinden Key system. I mentioned it to Tom Williams and he sent me the S card showing that Camillus had made some 61OTs or Schrade.

I couldn't find the copy of the 61OT S card, but here is the S card for a batch of 8OTs made by Camillus for Schrade.

Thanks for the email Ishrub.
I made that post nearly 3 years ago & today I have no idea what I was thinking of. Half the time I can’t remember if I ate breakfast. LOL
To the best of my knowledge (currently), I think the manufacturing was pretty much one sided: Camillus making knives and parts for Schrade. I think I was probably wrong in that statement.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention so I could correct it.

A long time ago someone put a lot of the S cards up somewere and it showed a lot of the Schrades and Frontiers were Camillus made.

Dean Wallace asked me to find a sample of George Washington's signature so we could have an etching stencil made for this knife. I located an old binder from the 1930's that had ads and knife illustrations that contained the first George Washington knife that Camillus made with Washington's signature hot stamped into the handle. This was in the late 1980's.
