Wow!!...

I mean...definitely damaged. You should send that to me so that I can fix it. ;) :D

I assume that you put the swedge grind on the Tramp. Looks good to me!

Really dumb question related to the Camp Tramp . . .It appears from these excellent photos there is a false sharpened edge on the spine of the Camp Tramp similar to a Bowie? Is this typical? I've looked at the photos on the SRKW website and it doesn't appear to have a false sharpened spine on the top.

OR . . .is that what you meant when several have posted about the "swedge grind?"

Can someone validate if a Camp Tramp does or does not? Thx!

If the CT didn't come with it then will the factory put that on or where can one have it altered?

I'm not sure about where to get something like that done. It definitely makes for a unique looking blade.

If you come to Thailand , I'll do it for you for free. ( cannot find the smile face)

were do I go to get the same thing done for mine?
Find a local bladesmith to do the mod for you. To locate one, check the Shop Talk forum here on BFC and see who might be located near you. Then email them to see if they are interested in the job. Otherwise, you could post a thread in that same forum to see if any of the blademakers there would like to take on the project.

Dick, that's a mighty nice job you did on yours. I like that combo of blade shape and uncoated steel to show it off. Especially nice is the way you sort of sweep the swedge up onto the spine. That makes for a very smooth transition and gives the line of the blade good flow. IMHO ya done good!

Thanks for the suggestions . . . I'll try to arrange a work gig in your region and then I'll drop by. Thanks!

Dan
