This are some blades I've made for another knifemaker.

I don't usually make this style of blades so I thought about posting them to see if anyone likes them :)

He usually makes stuff like this with my damascus blades.
Not my cup of tea, but the work is something else! Those are all custom ordered knives, with real precious metals and stones.

The two knifemakers are named Gustavo Morales and Mario Donda and they're commercial name is DOLMEN. They will be presenting a lot of this finished damascus blades on the VENATORIA Fail in Madrid, from March 29th to April 1st. http://www.venatoria.com.es

I will be taking pictures of the whole lot before they travel and hopefully they'll get lots of pictures from the Fair there :)

Thanks for looking!

Ariel

Tose are some really fine looking blades. The double edged Persian and the one in the last three photos are my favorites.

In case the previous pictures didn't show properly how these blades were done, here's a new one of this blade I've just finished today:

There is a 0.7-0.8mm (caliper shows the measure in milimeters) shoulder/step on each side and then the bevel starts there. Kinda like the bevels are embedded on the superior part of the knife.

Both sides are like this :)

Let me use my 1500th post on BladeForums to tell you this:

You Damascus Steel kick a..!

That is one thing powder metallurgy won't be able to make soon. Only a guy with a forge and a hammer can do that, and you do it great.
