Well I just found this knife and it might be the first Busse model that hit me and I feel the need to have it. Can these still be purchased threw Busse or is secondary market the only place. Had some other questions but found that info on Bussecollector.

Thanks guys

Unless you can come across the Busse crew at a knife show, the secondary market is the only place to find older models. Lots of folks still have them in new condition, and I believe there is currently one on a popular auction site.

Yea there is and man I want it but im not sure the 'going rate" for this model. Is that about what I can expect to pay for one? I think they should release the sarge 4 man id be in hog heaven. Good thing about being in the same state as them and being Ohio you can drive from one side to the other in about 8 hours so if they have them at shows im sure ill be able to track them down.

The common answer around here is that there is no "going rate," and if it s the knife you want, at a price you're willing to pay, then it's the deal for you. That one in particular includes a sheath from a great maker, so that cost is included.

Actually , the armoralleather sheath was offered , and you had 2 pay extra for it . I believe it was $50. or $65. I forget the exact amount ,,,,,,,,,,,, unless your referring directly to the sale thread on that auction website.

yeah, I was referring to the one being auctioned, not that the SAR's included one from the original introduction. The one in reference is gone, must have been bought.

I'm waiting on one right now from Canada, and looking forward to trying it out against my CGASH-1

I believe the CGASH-1 is a much larger knife than the SAR-4 ,,,,,,,, Although both are sweet blades , they'd be used for different purposes,,,,, not head on competition........ enjoy them both:thumbup:
