Some sheaths I made

Your learning step by step man! Keep it up!

Thanks ! Those are my first two and boy I learned a lot just from them lol. Your sheaths and work is the gold standard in my book. I’m just shooting for nice edc users for now.
Those are both Wickett & Craig bridle leather. The burgundy sheath was like 12oz !!! Made it harder to work with but better in some ways ???

I went back and looked at that red one and wow! Yep that is one thick chunk of leather! It does seem to work well with that design though. I've worked with leather that heavy before and it can be a bear to mold and form around a knife. I settled on 8/9 as my all around weight, it molds easy enough and is heavy enough for large sheaths.
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it. :D

Nice work. Working with stuff that thick is a bear. Love W&C leather.

Yeah, it was a learning experience I’ll say that lol. Next order will be 8-9oz weight maybe mix with some more heavy stuff. I’m getting addicted lol, I want a bunch of colors leather and thread :-)

I use 7/8 standard and 8/10 for the heavier.
Thank you, I think I’m going to definitely give a lighter weight a try :-)
I really enjoy seeing your work, top notch  and the pics you post are just great !! Thanks again for sharing those.

Thanks for the kind words duramax duramax . Here's our Duramax with the Allison. 2005 and 235,000 miles. Been a great truck. Got a 2017 F250 Super Duty too so the Chevy mostly sees light duty now, hauling the dogs to the ranch, running around town etc. Those mountains in the background are the ranch, looks like we're getting some showers up top. sheaths drying on the bricks after tooling.

Y'all are making me get the serious wants again for another truck!!!

My last Chevy was an 81 3/4 Ton, standard with a serious granny gear first. Loved that ugly old truck.

Well here I go lol, gonna try a large knife sheath. I foresee a looooot of test fitting lol
