Here are some firecraft videos. I am no expert on firecraft however like to practice these skills. I posted them on other forums but think maybe some here might enjoy watching.
This video compares traditional flint and steel to a fire steel. In this case using charcloth. I was igniting tinder for a hobo stove on the AT.

Firesteel only. No knife, fatwood, birch bark or steel striker.

Fire from magnification. Used chaga, hoof fungus, SAK, another lens and natural tinder bundle.
