OK, cut me through the middle and you will see the words "forged bowie" written like a stick of Blackpool rock (googles you're friend) ..... but four years ago I designed a stock removal camp knife with some pretty specific grinds.

Sent it off to a maker with a 3+yr list, and sat back, nothing happened last year, and based on communications it won't this either ..... and heres the rub, I need this piece for a special occasion this summer.

So .... any more knowledgeable SR collectors who can point me in the direction of a maker with excellent FnF, able to work to drawings that are a little off centre in terms of design, and the most critical -able to deliver within a 3 month window?:D:D:D

PM me, or stick it in the thread.

Cheers

Stephen

Alain Desaulniers may be a good fit. His site is Deso knives and you'll find a few of his recent pieces on bladegallery.

Charles Vestal is another guy I would talk to. I don't know about delivery or working to customer designs, but it's worth the price of an e-mail to find out.

Bryan Baker from Boise makes very clean knives. He works for Chris Reeve Knives. He's a member of the forum although he doesn't post much these days. I think he goes by boisebman or somesuch. I can get you his contact info next week if you pm me.
Don't know about his schedule and whatnot.
Another guy who does some good sr work is Robert Appleby, also a forumite.

So, you gonna show us this design, or what?:D
