Will be shown later this week! (thought you might see something, right?) A Kentucky Woodsman in ebony, a Trapline in bloodwood, a Spike Hawk with "from the forge" finish, and black micarta handles, and the nicest Scout I have ever made, 5/32" thick, clip point, and ironwood!

Hi John -

Iron wood, huh? That always looks great.

I always look forward to the new stuff coming from your shop!

best regards -

That Kentucky Woodsman will be really nice. I'm itching to see it.

How many Scouts have you made? I don't recall seeing more than 2.

I should have said Scout Jr., but since there is no full size anymore I just call them Scout. This is the third clip point, but I would guess I`ve made 30 - 35 Scouts altogether.

I thought seeing the Trapline would ease my excitement somewhat.

I was wrong.

Now I'm really excited about seeing the Woodsman.

Hi John -

Derek's design is great, and that ebony really dresses that knife up! Beautiful.

The clip-point Scout - very nice line on that one, as you know I like the look of clip points.

Here it comes....that would be awesome swedged and with a rounded spine! ;^)

Is the ironwood variable in color more than some of the other woods? I have seen many that were dark, almost like the "massacar ebony" on the 110s, and then this one is lighter, almost like a mahogany in color.

best

Ironwood does seem to vary in color quite a bit, but also darkens the more you handle it.
