I remember it being Very difficult to remove.
I can't remember how I got it off, maybe WD40?
Maybe I used iso? I don't remember.....Like Andy said, alcohol (isopropyl, aka rubbing alcohol) will do the trick. Just be sure to add some oil of your choice after, as the naked blade will need some protection.
Really curious to see what you think about this one mate! Seems like a serious contender for the anorexic B4 to me. I'm loving mine!!!elof_alv and I under took a "COVID Safe" prisoner exchange during the week...I got my blade and one of his most excellent sheaths all in one go.
Upon arrival with the patterned protectant coating.....
And after some soaking in alcohol and a little rubbing with a soft cloth.....

.... yes this. I actually wrapped the blade in some disposable hand towel and soaked both sides with iopropyl and let it sit about 10mins. It mostly rubbed off then but I did repeat once more to get the last off.Like Andy said, alcohol (isopropyl, aka rubbing alcohol) will do the trick.
