"Blanks" are something premade you buy from a catalog to then finish in your garage.
These are Damascus blades.

Damascus billets is probably the term! Its neutral and doesn't imply whether Karl did or didn't make them.. but of course he did. =)

Karl- those are my favorites ive seen of yours, after all these years. I'll call it bow tie pattern.

Eye popping is right! You need a carbon fiber or some off the chart type handle to match them. Pretty cool. Definitely share the finished knives.
