Some "Upgrades" I decided to give my AS

Well guys, I love this little blade. I carry it with me everywhere, and have done everything from breaking ice to breaking down boxes with it. It has performed admirably in all tasks. I recently decided to give it a couple of "upgrades":

1.) Stripped blade, and blade only, of coating.

I didn't want to strip the handle, because I carry it in a small, black kydex sheath. Also, no coating on the handle would make the grip surface more slippery when wet.

2.) Coated handle in a nifty product I recently discovered called Plastidip, a spray on rubber.

I haven't added the cosmetically appealing coat yet, but this stuff is amazing! Very thin and very grippy, even when wet! Also, if you screw up or no longer want it, it peels right off!

Tell me what you think, and without further ado, here are the pics (not the best quality. These florescent, energy-saving bulbs have some of the worst color rendering I have ever seen)

Nice job. The AS certainly seems like a handy little blade. Be interesting to see how the plastidip goes. I didn't think it was particularly tough.

Chris.
