All are BirGorkha village style by assorted kamis. Satin finish, good fit, very good hardness, semi rough saatisal handles on most -- a few horn. Usual very good scabbard and frog by village sarki.

17 inch 18 ounce Sirupati -- 6 available @ $50 each

tough but very neat little 12 inch 12 ounce Aks -- 10 available @ $45 each (1 horn handle)

17 inch 1.5 pound AK -- fine user model -- 4 availabe, 2 horn, 2 wood @ $65

:( One of these days I am going to get a 12" Village AK by Sher. Probably in the summer when I have more disposable income. For now, I will continue to drool on my keyboard :D

Looks like a bunch of good Khukuris for great prices. They all look really nice especally that 17" Sirupati. If I only had the funds.

Congrats to all the lucky people who jump on these deals.

i know i'm gonna get jumped all over and beaten for this...

but man, i'm thinking in a few years that cho is gonna be somewhere in the middle of the blade if things keep goin' the ways they is.

Not from me you're not, I'm behind you a 110%!!!!:D

That cho being way further up the blade from normal even is what prevented me from jumping on one of the 17" models.
It's downright sickening to me. :barf:
And I think everyone knows that the village models from BirGhorka are my favorites.:(

But on the positive side.... as Bill has said, "good fit, very good hardness, semi rough saatisal handles on most -- a few horn. Usual very good scabbard and frog by village sarki."
They'll still work. And Bill will still sell them.:D
Hopefully future models will be much improved.:)

I'll take one email and payment on the way
17 inch 18 ounce Sirupati -- 6 available @ $50 each

I think they're just providing some 'make your own cho' space, so you can have a double cho model! Those sirus might even allow fer the coveted TripleCho!

I know, those 17's really appealed to me, and I love the steel hardware, but the cho's on those are super high. Wonder if they are all that far up or just on the ones pictured?

Plus I'm still holding out for the chiruwa Ganga Ram Villager ;)

anybody want in on a "project"?

I'm going to take 2 of these villagers and completely re-do them, top to bottom. New bolsters, new handle, new buttplate, convex edge, shiny finish, etc.

Probably won't get it done until summertime, but I'll be sure to post when they're finished.

Think "Extreme Makeover" for $50 khukuris...:D

I'm still a Khukuri newb - exactly what purpose does that little cutout thingy serve anyway?

Thanks.

Don

Cho?

It's decorative, symbolic....of what, no-one really knows.
