Sher, Kumar, and a couple of part time kamis who went home to help folks with planting have just returned. They have brought a few khukuris from home and places in between so we will have a few village models coming in the next weeks.

They warned that the khukuris were not very beautiful and that most had NOT been made from springs but of rail and other steel. But the kamis themselves know how to judge a knife pretty well and if they khukuris were not strong and decent they would not have bothered with them.

So, stay tuned for village models -- 15 to 22 inches and various configurations so they tell me.

Maybe there might be one of my "beloved pet's" neighbors in the pile.

I dunno WHAT my villager was made out of, be it spring, rail or scrap heap iron...all I know is that it is tough as hell.

They're right, though...villagers ain't 'pretty.'
