So this stuff was my dads when he was alive. My dad was a meat cutter and butcher, and had a lot of the kind of stuff you would expect such a person to have. Unfortunately in between moving from the house i grew up in after my parents death (i was 20 when they passed) into an apartment someone broke in and stole so much of my family's stuff. It is a bit surprising considering i lived in a small basically no crime suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma, but what ya gonna do. So 10 years later hear i sit in my apartment in Chicago Illinois looking at some of the stuff i was lucky enough to save and i am curious if any of it is out of the realm of normal kitchen gear into the realm of high end. It seems like really good stuff when i compare these to the steels of my friends (who i am constantly teaching how to use). The ceramic rod and the smooth steel are R H Forschner, which is not surprising seeing as all my dads primary old meat cutting knives which i also have are Victorinox. The rough steel (the most amazing steel i have ever used btw) is Raadvad. It is apparently a Danish company which is also no surprising since my mother moved to the states in her 20's from Denmark, and we visited family there regularly.

So here they are, any insight, ideas, history, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
