Dang Bro, beautiful pics!!! Always loved that part of the country. Thanks for the post. 2nd post last pic, is one of those things I always loved, watching a rain cloud move of in the distance and sitting in a cool breeze. Outstanding shots Bro!!!

Beautiful pics and special memories. Lived in Grand Junction for awhile, and I dearly love the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre Plateau, the Monument and the Book Cliffs area. Wonderful wild, scenic country. And Moab, Arches and Canyonlands just a short drive away. Was in Moab earlier this week and happened upon a herd of desert bighorns in the back country there. Fantastic region!

Thanks for posting those pics.

Stunning pictures! Thank you for sharing, it definitely helps when the weather here is so chilly and cloudy.

Thanks! It was an awesome evening up there that day, the weather was absolutely perfect. Was awesome getting to watch those rain clouds move in just at sunset, absolutely stunning to see that….. :)

I lived in Grand Junction (more specifically Fruita, which is just west of GJ) for about a year or so and left a few weeks after these photos. There is an old indian curse that says if leave the valley without taking sand with you from all the mountain ranges surrounding the valley then you will be forced to return here. We left without taking any sand with us……. ;):)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

I used to live about one mile away from the Northern entrance to the Co. Natl. Monument, if you look at this photo I lived just past where the road seems to end. I was right off of the Colorado River too, talk about spoiled…… :)

Super Cool!

I took these shots of some desert bighorns last Monday outside Moab not far from the Potash Road into Canyonlands Natl Park. The ram is right at full curl. Just had a cell phone with me, but FWIW here are the pics...
