Andy, you mentioned a flashlight problem...talk to me. I've got a Surefire and Streamlight problem, too. Is that what you mean, or are you into the custom builds that I read about? Flashlights intrigue me. I carry a Surefire E1B or Streamlight PT 1L daily, run a Surefire VTac model (M600C Scoutlight LED head on a E2DL body) in a Larue offset mount on my truck rifle, Surefire X300 and Streamlight TLR1 lights on the Glocks, and Streamlight SuperTacs in Larue mounts on the varmint/hog hunting rigs. Bit nuts about lights, I guess, but I haven't ventured into the custom stuff, yet. Just wondered what you used!
 
I always have wanted to dive deeper into flashlights but I never seem to have the need for one. I have a couple of SF G2's but never use them.
 
Oh, man, get yourself a Streamlight PT-1L and carry it for a week, you won't be able to figure out how you ever did without it. Sheer usefulness is off the chart, not to mention the self-defense benefits of a small, extremely bright flashlight. Plus, flashlight are legal everywhere! :)
 
I used to have a flashlight problem until I found one of the Nitecore D10's with the variable ramping. Even so, 99% of my flashlight needs are handled by the Maratac AAA on my keychain with a 10440 batt.

I do have some other great lights like surefires and Quarks but those two are my favorites.

If you get a 3 or 5 mode LED conversion you'll like the G2's a lot better.
 
I just use a Petzl headlight. Don't even know the model number....:o
 
I carry a Wally World coleman special, the one with the different colored lenses. I have Streams, Insights, and Mags, but for some reason, I always come back to the that coleman. Go figure. A buddy at work asked me "Why do you carry a flashlight all the time?" I told him, " I can't see in the dark" Light in a dark world makes you ruler of the lost kingdom, IMHO. I don't have an addiction, but I do carry 2-3 lights on average. Rock on ya'll. Moose
 
Surefire Millenium on one AR. it's built into the handguards. have a second one on 20" handguards that i need to get a disipator barrel from ADCO to mount up, have a 623F with a drop in LED on the M590A1 and a G2 w/LED conversion in an Vltor mount on the S&W 15-22 (need to change the front sight so i can mount the light at 10:00 instead of 9:00, can't do that with the big knob on the side of the factory front sight, will need a new mountt when i get the new sight), plus a few other G2s with LEDs and Viking Tactics mounts waiting for bolt on rails to mount to the M4 hand guards on some builds (don't need quad rails to mount just a light).

have a 6Z with LED on the nightstand. OK, the "nightstand" is a gun safe. :D

have an Insight M3 that's MIA somewhere.

need to get a Surefire X300 for the new 3rd gen G19 i just got recently.

want a Fenix TK40 for the house and an LD10 or two (or something similar) for EDC

i've lost two G2s, currently have at least four others.

have two. no three Streamlight 4AA Pro Polymer lights which are nice GP lights for stuff around the house. one just died so i need to send it in for warranty service.

really want a Streamlight Lightbox.


but i don't know what you mean by "flashlight problem"! :rolleyes:
 
Right now I'm carrying a Quark AA in Titanium. Its my only Ti light. My wife bought it for me for our anniversary. I usually avoid Ti as I think its a thuper dhuper fad.

I like AA lights for the most part. The Quarks are good, so is that Nitecore D10.

The best light I own is an Orb Raw. Its got a white tint, small as hell, and made from nickel. I love it.
 
Flashlight technology is incredible these days. It all started with a 6P and now I have a couple of those rinning Malkoff heads and putting out 230L. Bought a couple of Quark AA's and also an A. Picked up a little AAA off of county comm that is a great little travel light, and then picked up a SF E2DL on the exchange.

Then I met Moddoo :D and now I have one of his triple XPG's - It is 1100 lumen wall of light - it turns night to day :cool:

But I need something a little more brighter now :D
 
I'm another one with a flashlight problem...Surefire, Quark, iTP, Fenix, headlamps.... When I have more time and money, I think I'm going to start getting into the custom builds and the truly crazy stuff.


Some of the current favorites:

Quark Mini 123 on keychain
Surefire E2DL and a Petzl in EDC pack
Surefire G2L with clicky on nightstand (looking to replace with either G2X)
Quark 2AA and Princeton Tec EOS w/ Rebel led in hiking pack
Fenix L2D Q5 in car


Nothing crazy yet, but gets the job done for me :) I also have a big ole 4D led Maglite in the car; one of these days I'm going to upgrade it with a Malkoff.

I have a bored Surefire 6p (oveready.com)with a Malkoff M61W and McClickey tailcap (Natural HIII) and an Elzetta with Malkoff M60WF and clicky tailcap.
 
I have a RaLights EDC Custom, Peak Eiger & a Surefire 6P. Love the Peak light, it's always in my pocket.
