I get an email from ACK and it said a Damascus Mnandi was just listed. It turned out to be a Zebra with blackwood, gold and diamond and only $795. I can see why it was gone before I even got the email about it. Does not look perfect and does not say it has a box or not but I sure would not have cared. Well if I had the cash. I would have needed to sell a couple to pay it back.

I hope someone here got it

That is rather stunning! I have never seen one like that before. I would be mighty tempted also. Thank you for the picture. Mike

Hope it was you LW... For that price no-doc would not have mattered to me. I would send it to the spa for a reissued one. I would also have felt a little less bad if I carried it around some to show off. For me any of the Zebra blade Mnandi's are grail knives. Might not be a river of fire, but still my favorite CRK blade of all time.

A big congrats to LW or who ever got it.
 
May be a dumb question, but did this one come from the shop this way as a "one-off" or custom, or was the gold and diamond inlay added later. Sooo nice! Mike

This was a production CRK but somewhat rare.
 
I got the email from ACK, seen the knife was already sold, and instantly thought of that LW lady

It and the 1999 are both headed directly to the mothership for just that reason, so it'll be a couple months before I even get to see them. :eek:

It kind of is, when I think about it. The stars has to align just right for one person to get both. I just happened to not only have my email open, but was actively on the page when the notification came it. I was about to click something else, clicked that instead. Then I clicked the links for 3 of the knives, but quickly closed one when I decided I was going to pass. Then I put the others in my cart and got through checkout as fast as I possible could before the site bogged down. I got through all but the last page before that happened. It took so long for the confirmation to pop up that I was sure I'd missed them both. I was shocked and happy, I'm usually too slow to get the hot ones from them.

I checked just as the site bogged down so I just missed it by a few minutes. I am happy you got it for your collection.
