I think I really need a 2x72, variable speed, reversing grinder. I have some money and I've sold a few more knives. I can swing about $600, maybe as much as 8.

My needs (ha desires really, but 'needs' sounds better):

reverse direction
slow speed
horizontal platen (or close)
Trizac belts
Add a contact wheel, someday

Somebody needs to push me over the edge on this purchase.

If you can swing 8 I would go for a KMG,with an 8 inch contact wheel
Rob is great to work with and will go out off his way to make things right:)
