Someone called my Sebenza "pretty"

I almost always have a knife on me, but very rarely get any sort of comments (positive or negative) on them. I had my sebenza on me today at a restaurant, and took it out to open a package while our waitress was at our table. She looked at the knife, and then I hear "wow that is a pretty knife". I normally don't refer to knives as pretty, but I have to agree that this combination is one of my favorites!

It's a 2002 ironwood inlay annual with a CRK stonewashed blade. IMO the stonewashed blade really looks great with the wood, I prefer it over the polished blade on my other annuals.
So have you gotten any comments on your CRK ever? Do share!
 
It's ugly as sin. Send it to me, you'll never have to see the thing again. :D
 
Being of the male gender, I wouldn't call it pretty, more like gorgeous, sexy, a real looker.
The only comments I get are from the folks I work with, since they know I'm a knife nut, I get asked " How much did that one cost". My reply is always " More than you're willing to spend"

To the op, that is indeed a purty knife u got there. Someone called my cf lg wicked today... not sure if thats good or bad.

Really nice knife, got to love the DI.
While my Sebenza get's some admiration, the answer to the next question get's the most comments.
Another reason I like this place.

A knife is an extension of its owner. Therefor the knife is only as pretty as its owner. Therefor, you are pretty by default. :D
 
Ok ok, I guess it can be called pretty! I waited for the "how much does that run" question but it never came. I probably wouldn't have given the full amount anyways with my daughter and friends sitting there looking at me, they think I am odd enough already...

was the waitress attractive? Just curious. Most hot women have good taste from what I have seen over the years. I have plenty of experience. :)

Yeah..... Me too...... I swear.......

I look at my CRK's like one would a boat. They are all beautiful ladies. So, yes, I guess they can be Purdy.
 
You got a purdy noif.

When I bought my 1st sebenza, i was about to buy a honduran sebenza, my ex GF said it as very pretty. But the uneven bevel was unacceptable on a $500 knife.
 
Beautiful, yes. In the way a Mercedes Benz is beautiful. Chris likens his knives to Ferraris. But the Seb is a bit less flashy. Mercedes comparison for me...Cheers.
 
I got the same response when I used this to cut my steak vs the butterknife they gave me. There's nothing wrong with "pretty", but I prefer "nice blade".
