Someone get my AK by mistake?

Hi All,

Today I got my second HI order and was expecting an 18" AK by Sher with wood handle, but the karda and chakma were of horn. It was on special in this thread (2nd from top):

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=287738

Instead, I got the 15.5" Chiruwa AK from Sgt. Karka (top picture, same thread).

Did someone get my AK and we can make an exchange? I like the Chiruwa a lot, but I'm after a big AK... Let me know if you got it and would like to trade out.

Thanks,
Rip

Rip, I've got an unused 18" , wood handled, AK Villager (unpolished blade, steel bolster and buttcap) by Sher. If you want a big chopper, this one'll get the job done. If all else fails sorting out your little shipping mix up, let me know and I'll hook you up. Bought this one as a big brother to my 12" AK villager (by Sher's little brother Kumar), but dang if that little half-pint lumberjack of a 12" AK don't hog up all the work.

Yup, e-mail Uncle Bill. He'll fix things. I got the wrong khukuri once and he took care of it no problem.

Or hold it ransom. Get a picture of you with a portable drill held to the khuk and threaten to "make it lighter" if yours doesn't show up.

Oh, that's just wrong Kis, but I like it. Bruise, you and Josh are absolutely right, I wasn't for a second implying by my offer that Uncle's not a stand up guy. I was only proposing a "just in case" deal. Whole thing's got me wondering who ordered the Chiruwa AK by Sgt Karka. Judging by my 15" AK done by the good sergeant, that's got to be one heck of a fine knife.

Sarge-- I wasn't implying that you were implying that:D I just figure someone somewhere is missing a chiruwa AK just like RipNTear is missing his 18" AK, and Uncle Bill should be able to get things straightened out so that both folks get what they ordered.

I don't think anyone was implying what they weren't implying.

It'll get sorted out.

Thanks for the replies, all. I actually don't mind keeping it (not at all--it's a nice blade), but I figure someone ordered this special and got mine instead (a little mixup--no worries, though).

Uncle Bill offered to take it back, but it seems that the one I ordered has been shipped out. Worst case--I'll wait until the next 18" AK goes on special and pick it up then (that, by the way, is a reservation!!!!):)

My gf liked the Chiruwa AK by Sarge a lot so I'm donating it to her unless the rightful owner shows up.

Think of Steve Martin as the sadistic dentist in Little Shop of Horrors and you can possibly have a nightmare on acid ( lsd ) version of what I've got planned for Burafan when we catch him again.

( Did I mention that I've read most of the Divine Marquis's works as a teenager - or put another way, Le Comte Donation Alphonse Francois De Sade's - works including Justine, Juliette, the 120 Days of Sodom, and others I've forgotten. Still have the Grove Press editions stashed away in case I need them. )

Forgot to say think of them implications.

Your chair is waiting, BF!

Y'all have a nice day now...

( ;) )

Rusty, WHEN you catch him again? Lord; has he been sighted?

If he comes back without permission no one will be interested in talking to him- ever again.

An egg eaten dog, a chicken killer, or one who keeps pooping on your bed- eventually, enough's enough and no one sheds a tear over the new dug grave.

If that made any sense. It's midnight.

good girl! Perhaps it was supposed to be a gift? :)

You'd have no prob trading it amongst forumites, that's fer sher. Don' feel you got stuck with that gem. Karka doesn't churn em out!

Keep watchin. Those 18" AKs are always around, and common to find as blems n' such.

As has been said, it will be mare right, whatever right may be.

That's true,Ferrous, but if whoever purchased the Sgt's work wants it---as they did when they paid for it-

It'll get sorted out to everyone's liking, I'm sure.
