I have a Buck Knife, what I would call a folding hunter with laser cut designs (dear hooves) in the blade and a custom handle. The blade is also etched 364/500. Can anyone tell me anything about this knife? Handle material, etc.? Thanks in advance. Handle is more Ivory color than what it appears.

Can't ask about value unless you have a gold or higher membership. Is there a model number on it?

No, just Buck USA and 364/500

Moved to the center of knowledge for all things Buck.

William, welcome to the Buck Forum. The Alpha Hunter model # was 277. Yours being the gut-hook version is model 279. Then Buck did a 'Tracks series' with different models. They did blade cut outs of hooves of deer, elk and moose. Some were scrimshawed on the handles like yours. I believe that series came out in 2006. I'm close. What those numbers designate is there were 500 knives done and you got # 364 of that run. Did you get the box, papers and sheath with it? DM
