I don't have a pic but here's what it is. Its a bowie knife from a company called traditions. It says the blade steel is 440. Looks like either maple wood for a handle or some sort of fake wood since it doesn't feel like wood. It has a brass crossguard and a brass butt cap. The blade is about 8 in. its a pretty good considering i only spent 40 dollars on it. It holds an edge and its razor sharp. Scars to prove it. The brass gets a little dis-colored but nothing i'm worried about. anyone know anything about this knife?

Sounds like the cheap stuff you see on the internet for $20 all the time. Most likely 440A. If it were 440B or 440C they'd want you to know.

Traditions is a black powder shooting supplier, in the 90's-00's they started a traditional knife line. These were sold through sports shops and catalogs like Cableas.

If you google Traditions black powder bowie knife you'll find them for sale.
